In her lecture, Anja Groten will take as a starting point the collective approach of Hackers & Designers. Collective practices according to Groten challenge notions of individual authorship, distinctions between disciplines, between product and process, or between user and maker. While collective practices also shape affiliations and commitments, as well as design approaches and aesthetics, they also require perspectives on collaborative work and design that resist linearity and progression-based understanding of a design process.
