Li Lorian in public conversation and showing of the work-in-progress “Exile Is So Strong Within Me”, part of Artists’ Lab, a collaboration between Beit Ha'gefen Gallery and Sikkuy-Aufoq - The Association for the Advancement of Civic Equality.

Corresponding with her research “Pzura – towards diasporic thinking”, this work attempts to re-enact, in the form of a multiple voices performance, an interview conducted by Israeli cultural figure Helit Yeshurun addressing Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. By deconstructing the familiar structure of questions and answers, interviewer and interviewee, this performative intervention will extract for examination key concepts and connections between land and text, power and poetry, politics and poetics.
